Issues with Articulate Mobile Player v. 2.12 (running on iOS 7)

Oct 07, 2013

Has anyone experienced issues with the app crashing on screens with videos? (This seems to only happen with videos that have been captured using the record feature in Storyline, although this issue may be completely unrelated to the screen-capture function in the software). The previous version of the app (v 1.76) worked flawlessly - it never crashed and all actions, variables, etc. worked as intended.

Another issue is with onClick Outside of a button/image. This action does not work! Again, it worked perfectly before an update to the app.

I'm running iOS 7 on iPad w/ Retina (latest iPad version).

I've submitted my case to Articulate support, and I'm extremely disappointed with how little help I've gotten from them. I've received very little help and communication from their support team and also mentioned early last week that we are demoing our courses at a conference tomorrow morning. I'm still waiting to hear from someone in the organization today and how they plan to resolve these issues.

Hi Artur,

Looking at Case #00357358, the issues you are experiencing with Articulate Mobile Player in iOS 7 appear to have been sent to our Quality Assurance team for further review. This looks to have been communicated to you in the case a few days ago. You should be hearing from John soon with regards to the status update you have requested.

Thanks,

Adrian

Adrian, thanks for the update. I was aware of the issues I reported being escalated to QA. However, I've sent emails to your support team since then and mentioned that we have a demo of our courses in your app scheduled for today at a large conference in Indianapolis. I didn't expect these issues to be resolved in time, but asked that your team help me install the previous version of the app, which worked perfectly well. I received an .ipa file that was already registered to an Apple ID, so I couldn't install it and have not received any responses from your team since then.

Ashley, thanks for providing this info. I will update the AMP app once Brad returns from the conference and I have the iPad back.
