One of the trigger actions is "Jump to URL/file". I have set this trigger up and selected the file from my PC that I want opened as a result of the user clicking the button. However, when I publish my work and email the Story to a colleague, they are not able to launch the file that I associated with that button/trigger. How can I fix this?
You may need to upload your content in order for that to work for your colleague. Here's an excerpt from an Articulate Support page. There's more info on that page.
If you view published Storyline content on your local hard drive or send it to someone else to view on their local hard drive, you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail.
To properly test your published content and share it with others, upload it to the environment for which it was published....
Becky's got you covered here! If you don't want to place within your web site or LMS to share with your colleague, here are a few options you may want to look into:
If you don't have access to a web server, here are a few free options to consider:
Tempshare: This is a free service provided by Articulate for testing Storyline content. Note: Uploaded files will be deleted after 10 days.
Amazon S3: Amazon S3 offers free hosting with generous usage limits. If you go over your limit, you'll be charged a graduated fee.
Dropbox: Place your published output in the Public folder in your Dropbox account to share it with others.
Google Drive: Change the story.html file to index.html, and set the sharing permissions to Public. Here's how.
Inserting page numbers is not a feature of Storyline, but if you wanted to create a similar set up (and you have a very linear course) you could add a small text box to each page, and place the numbers there...tedious.
If it's a non-linear course, I've seen users create it through the use of variables that are adjusted +1 on each new slide. You'll also have to account for subtracting 1 if you allow the users to use the back button.

I was able to upload the project to SharePoint, and it works perfectly now! Thanks to both of you for your assistance!
Happy to hear it Jeff!
Just another quick question if either of you don't mind... is it possible to add a slide/page number somewhere on the project?

Lastly, your Storyline course will automatically number the slides and include those within the Player menu, if you have that enabled.
