Jumping to a url/file based on the number of slides viewed

Feb 23, 2015

Hi

Looking for a way to have the learner conditionally jump to a url at the end of a Storyline project - based on the number of slides that have been successfully viewed. Is there a global variable that can referenced for this? Most of the tutorials I've seen are  adding to a counter variable after each slide but I'd like to not have to include this in each slide if possible.  Note: the project will be published to the web (not an LMS).  Thanks in advance, - Mike

Thanks for the reply Emily.  Sorry to not get back sooner.  Looks like I may have to build in a counting timer as would  be allowing the learner to jump around...

I did notice that Storyline is able to pass to an LMS a count of the number of slides viewed (for tracking purposes).  Could this mean that Storyline has a system variable that I could interrogate for the # of slides viewed. Like the variables that are inserted for pass scores when you create a  results slide?
