Hi all, I'm doing a project with lots of slides that I'm recording my voice onto. I cant seem to find a way to use keyboard shortcuts to get to Record Mic.
Alt, N, O just takes me to the Audio from File dialog.
Hi, John -- Thanks for reaching out! While I do not see an existing keyboard shortcut on this list to record microphone, you may want to check out the section at the bottom with tips on how you can create your own shortcut. Hope that helps! :)
I am trying to do the same thing as John. I can figure out how to add Audio to the QAT, but not the specific item of "record mic". There is an underlined R so you'd think it would be possible to select that from a hot key, but it just doesn't work. Frustrating!
Ashley, thank you for the help. It's not quite what I was hoping for - a real hotkey option- but I guess it does help reduce the total number of clicks; that's always appreciated!
If you set up the quick access toolbar as noted, then click on that and press the 'r' key, it opens the record mic dialog box. You still have to click the record icon after that to record and save icon to stop, which is not ideal. I'll raise a request to make that dialog box dockable, and dedicate key to start and stop recording, which would be much better.

Hi Allison,
You can add individual buttons, but not actions within a button's drop down. Here's a quick Peek 360 recording to show you what that looks like.
