I'm sure there is a simple explanation for this. I have multiple layers on a slide, that dims when viewed. I've checked settings on states, the Dim non-selected layers button, even the master slide, but it is still dim. It wasn't doing it the other day... Have I missed something? It should be bright not dim.
I sorted this out! Somehow, the white background had a transparency of 70%, so it appeared green (even though it was white..) ? I must have applied a background change 'to all' at some point..
Thanks SO much for this post Natalie! I was struggling like crazy to sort this out, and when I changed the background(s) to 100% transparency, everything worked perfectly.

Hi Natalie,
Do you have any options for hiding other layers? Or possibly some shapes or background objects on the slide?
Is the content on the layer(s) dimming as well, or does it just seem like a lightbox (background dims)?
Any chance you can share the .STORY file here, or some screenshots?
Thanks!

Thanks for checking in though...

Hi Karen! Glad that this thread was able to help you out and thanks for sharing
So helpful. Ran into this problem today- and it was fixed by adjusting the background transparency. Thank you!
This post is still helping users! Was struggling with this same thing and hadn't EVEN thought to check the backgrounds on my layers!
So glad to hear this thread was helpful for you, Ben!
Have a great day and happy developing! ✨
