Layer or Popup with Form

Jun 03, 2016

Hi,

I want to be able to display a popup layer (or some other container) that slides in over the current page and displays a form for the user to fill out. When the user clicks submit on this form, the layer will slide off the page and the user continues with their previous task. The layer form is triggered by the user clicking on a video on the main page.

I can create a layer and slide it in over the page with a trigger. But the controls I placed in the layer to make up the form (e.g. button, slider, etc.) don't move with the layer. They just appear. I want the layer to be like a container so when the layer moves, everything on the layer moves too.

How can I do this?

Thanks!

Roger

Hi Roger,

As far as animating in the elements - I think that's something we'd need to take a look at - as the slide transitions and the animations would need to be applied separately.

What if you added a web object such as a Google form on that layer - and that way you could capture all the results a bit more easily? I don't know that it would give you the slide in behavior you're looking for - but it's worth checking, as it'll be less in terms of triggers and animation to add in Storyline (one web object vs. all the form items).
