Layer size not resizing based on player browser settings: Storyline 1

Oct 04, 2017

Hoping someone my have the answer for me. My presentation slides look great and scale nicely to fit the browser window, however, the layers remain small and don't scale. Is there a work-around?

Thanks!

Hi Tamara!

Layer size should always match slide size, but it sounds like your slide layers are smaller than the slide size, is that correct? That's definitely not something we'd expect, and I'm curious to know more. Can you help me with a few more details?

  • Are you seeing this after the content is published? If so...
  • Where is the published content hosted (web server, LMS, etc)?
  • What browser are you using for testing?

Hi Alyssa, yes that's correct. It appears to be an HTML5 output issue..I've used all major browsers for testing. Some of the other functionality isn't working in HTML5 either...so hoping that Flash will continue to be supported as this doesn't happen in the flash output. I haven't yet uploaded to my LMS and I am testing locally if that makes a difference in rendering...

Thanks Tamara!

If you're testing the content locally, you may be encountering security and browser restrictions. Instead, try uploading the output to SCORM Cloud or any other LMS to ensure that you can view the content as expected!

I'm happy to help you with that testing, if you'd like. Simply attach your published zipped output to a new thread comment, and I'll take care of the rest.
