Lightbox and trigger buttons with different states
Jul 15, 2015
I've created a lightbox as a menu. The menu has four chapters that have triggers to the appropriate scene from appropriate chapter button. I've also hidden lightbox once a learner selects from the menu. Once a learner completes a "chapter" and returns to the lightbox menu, I want the lightbox menu to reflect that a chapter from the menu has been completed. When I test drive my lightbox, and go through one chapter of 4 from the menu, it takes me back to the menu and shows the chapter is complete as I expected. When I select another chapter from the menu, it takes me to the last slide of this first chapter utilized. My navigation falls apart. Help!

Hi, light boxes are designed to take you back to the slide that you where on when you opened the light box. There is really no easy way to get around this if the user clicks the red x at the top of the screen to close the lightbox. As for your current set up, try moving the trigger to close the light box on each of the menu buttons so that it appears before the trigger that jumps the user to the slide you want them to go. This may seem counter-intuitive but seems to work.
Thanks, I'll try this.
That worked! Thank you so much! I am doing chapters in which chapters have sections, and then sections have sub sections so creating the lightboxes really helps with speed of creation! Thank you so much. You solved a huge problem for me.
