LMS Publishing Issue

I keep getting an error in Storyline 360 on a training that I have put days into while attempting to publish. It is due by December 31st as Flash will be going away and I have gotten this error for weeks now despite trying multiple fixes. 

*I have attempted this fix: https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/storyline-file-will-not-publish

*I have updated Microsoft and many other aspects on my computer. 

*I have ensured Articulate is completely updated. 

*I have uploaded the power point again into Articulate - my hope is to eventually transfer all of the recorded audio into this new file. Before putting more work into it I attempted to publish the power point as is - didn't work. 

*Attempted the import fix linked above on this new file. 

*My supervisor and colleagues have also attempted to publish the initial file on their own computers with the same error showing, even though they are able to publish their own trainings.

Appreciate you stopping by the E-Learning Heroes community today.  I'm sorry you've been experiencing this pop up for some time now.  I can understand the urgency for a resolution with such a fast approaching deadline, so I'd love to help out in any way I can :)

Thanks so much for the thorough details you've already provided, and the fix you tried - very helpful with troubleshooting!  Can you confirm a couple more things for me?

  • Thank you for confirming that Storyline is completely up to date.  Can you share the version with me?  Just so we know it updated successfully for you?  If you're not sure how to check the version here's how:  Open Storyline, go to the Help tab on the ribbon and click About Articulate Storyline. From there, you can see your version details on the screen that appears.
  • Are you and your colleagues working off the local drive (your C: drive), as opposed to a network or flash drive?
  • Has anyone else tried to import the PowerPoint in to a new Storyline file?
  • Are you comfortable with sharing the files so I can test? If not, you can share privately here

Thanks for reaching out, and I'm sorry to hear you're running into these publishing issues! Since your colleagues can publish their own files, it seems the error may be specific to the file you're working on.

I've opened a case on your behalf to connect you with a support engineer that can help test your files.

We are having an issue with courses that were published HTML5 with Flash Fallback or Flash with HTML5 fallback are not working in our LMS (SABA) now that Flash has been turned off in our organization. It is happening unilaterally for all our courses published this way, and is causing hectic frenzy to republish hundreds of courses in HTML5 only we thought were going to work with the HTML5 with Flash Fallback or Flash with HTML5 fallback publish settings

It isn't happening for courses that were published in Storyline 2 with including the HTML5 for mobile devices. I am perplexed why the old is working better than the new.

Hi Alicia!

Sorry, you're running into this issue with the courses published with Flash or Flash Fallback on Saba! I haven't seen similar errors since the removal of Flash. Are you using a specific browser with Saba, or is this happening with Saba LMS in multiple browsers?
