LMS Reporting options

Hi
Can someone please explain the differences between the reporting options in Storyline. Our LMS (Totara) - is not picking up that the module has been completed - so no completion tick is showing.
We have set the Tracking to 'track using number of slides viewed' - with the amount set at less than the minimum required.
Do the reporting options matter or is it just a matter of which setting you choose?
Do you have any advice on what might be happening. SCORM package not talking to the LMS properly?
