Longread format in Articulate Storyline
Jul 02, 2015
Hi there,
I'm currently working on a lot of projects where we want to use Gagne's theory of instruction as the underlying didactics. We have the choice of making a custom CMS of using Articulate Storyline. Now here's my question.
We want to make a longread format, the kind you see a lot these days on Wordpress sites. These one page scrollers, you've seen them. Is it possible to make something like that in Articulate or am I bounded to the player and it's sizes?
Curious to see what you guys come up with, thanks!

Hi Jean-Luc,
you can insert a scroll-element which can contain e.g. text or Images...
The size of the scroll-element itself is of course the size of your slide but you will get scroll bars to scroll inside.
To insert a scroll element, goto tab "INSERT" and there it is a "scroll element" within the group "interactive objects".
Cheers!
Thanks, I've tried that but thats not the effect i'm looking for. This creates a scrollable box inside the fixed player. I think the boundry here is the fact that ARticulate has to work with the player and does'nt export to plain HTML5. I want one long module, not a box with a scrollable element.
Ahh, I see...
With the Standard player you can only create "boxed" content.
Maybe there is a way to create a custom player with your needs...
