I have a published Storyline course with all its' files, but I have lost the storyline source file. Is there any way I can get it back via the published files?
Yep don't think you can reverse engineer a course from a published course, you can however extract the zip file or browse the directory with some LMS's and you will find all the resources used to make the course, this might help a little..?
No way to get the file back from the published output, but you may want to search your computer for any files with the .story extension to see if it's hidden somewhere. Another option is to search in your temp files.
Here's how to check:
1. Open this folder in Windows Explorer:
Monppdata%\Articulate\Storyline
2. Scan the contents of this folder for a file that starts with the name of your project. If you find one, copy it to your desktop. If you find more than one, copy the latest version to your desktop.
3. Change the file extension of the copy on your desktop from *.tmp to *.story.
