Marker Images Loading in the Wrong Spots

I'm having some really weird problems with markers lately. I have a piece of paperwork and I'm using markers to show how to fill out each section. So, in the editing view, the images are in the markers, everything's good. Then when I preview (or publish, I checked), the markers are all of one image instead of the various images unique to each marker.
But hold on, it gets weirder...
...Each image also has a zoom picture option. When you click on it, the pictures change back to the images they're supposed to be.
Am I in the E-Learning Twilight Zone, or does someone know what's going on here?

Hey Ashley!
Twilight Zone.. memories!
That is definitely strange! Just curious - are the markers grouped at all with other objects?
Can you share the .STORY file here so I can check it out? You're also welcome to send the file to us privately, if you'd like.
Thanks!
I don't believe they're grouped, but I will check.
I can't send .story files, super frustrating, I know. I try to describe the best I can, but I know that's nothing in replacement of actually seeing the problem.
Nope, no grouping.
Good morning Ashley. I hope you had a great weekend!
Thanks for getting back to me and for the additional information. Yes, it's a bit difficult to troubleshoot it, if we can't test the files. Out of curiosity, is it due to confidential material? If so, we'd be happy to sign a disclosure.
In the meantime, how are you working with the files? Are they local? Make sure you are working on your local drive (your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, including file corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior. You should also make sure the directory path to your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters (for example C:\Articulate). Avoid using special characters, accents or symbols in your file names.
Additional information regarding "Naming Files, Paths, and Namespaces" in Windows operating systems can be found in the following Microsoft article.
I'll have to talk to my supervisor about that, but thanks for the additional info, regarding submitting files.
You know what, I'm pretty sure my file name for this one is super long, and I had forgotten all about that issue. Let me try and see if that fixes it.
Man, I don't know. I changed the name, nothing.
I just now replaced the pictures, and it's working so far. We'll see if it lasts, I guess.
Hi Ashley,
Thanks for the update. Glad to hear it's working so far. If you run into any problems again, please let me know.
Thanks!
Nope, still having problems. It seems to solely be markers with images that have a zoom function. I just took the zoom function off of most of the markers, no problem, but there's one slide where the marker images NEED to have a zoom on them. I'm going to have to rebuild this whole slide with layers now, I guess. Going to be a pa-in.
Hey Ashley,
So sorry to hear you're still dealing with this - I had hoped everything worked out. Without seeing the course, I'm not sure how you have the zoom markers working. Could you use a hot spot over an image, instead? Not sure how that would work out. I know you wanted to speak to your supervisor about sharing the files with us. If you can't do that, can you share some screenshots instead of how they look? Or maybe even create a mock-up .STORY file?
I'm having the exact same issue as the original poster at the moment. Has a solution ever been found? I can't seem to find a mention of the bug anywhere else.
Hey Leanne,
Since this post is older- let's start from scratch!
I'm more than happy to help investigate this with you and I have a few questions to start with:
Sorry this has been slowing you down-- Keep me posted! 😊
