Mass change Player across multiple files?

Nov 02, 2012

Good afternoon!

I understand you can edit, save, import, and export the Player within Storyline. I am wondering if it is possible to assign a single Player to multiple Storyline files WITHOUT having to go into each individual Storyline file and update the Player, Save, and republish it.

For example, say I have 1000 Storyline files and I need to update the Player on every one of them. Is there some way I can replace the old player xml file with a new one? Is there a file I can replace or some code I can modify in the output folders of the published Storyline files to complete such a task?

I appreciate any suggestions or ideas. Thanks!

Hi Louis,

I appreciate you reaching out to our support team as well. I can see that Ronaziel was able to help you and filed a feature request on your behalf.

For anyone following along, applying a player to multiple Storyline files, and/or modifying the published output of a Storyline project is not supported.

I look forward to hearing from others in the community who have found a solution for a similar need.
