Media Looping - Ipad Issue

Jan 24, 2014

I have an issue occurring when playing my Storyline files on a tablet, such as an ipad, and I'd like to know if others have experienced this:

I have several slides (lesson closing slides) where I play background music behind the narration on the screen. In order to have the music play until the narration ends, I have used the following tip for setting it up to loop:

This works fine when you run the course from a Windows machine, using a browser. However, when we test on a tablet, such as an ipad, the music continues to run after we move to the next slide. The only way to make the media (music) stop is to close the course and come back in.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

Hi Dee,

Can you tell us if this happens for both the Articulate Mobile Player (Flash) output and the HTML5 (Safari) output on your iPad?

It may or may not be specific to what features are supported for that output type.

If you haven't already, I would check to make sure that the media features and triggers you're using are supported for the output type that you're viewing:

Compare Storyline's Flash, HTML5 and Articulate Mobile Player output

If you're still having trouble with this, are you able to share the .STORY file, or a recreated .STORY file for the project? I'd be happy to take a look and see if there's a way to get this working for you.

Thanks!
