this feature is strongly needed in html5, we have recieved several complaint on our releases about the fact that it is not possible to restrict navigation in html5 version.
I don't know how at the moment you are managing the cookies in html5 version, anyway HTML5 supports
localStorage - stores data with no expiration date
sessionStorage - stores data for one session
these methods could be "easily" implemented to restrict the navigation menu in html5 version.
