More Drag and Drop help needed, please
Jul 09, 2016
I'm finally taking the time to really learn Storyline 2 more in depth (having come from much time spent with Cap8,) and I'm having some trouble understanding how this d and d works.
I'd like the learner to be able to drag any of the cars to each stop (where there's a marker) and have a text box pop up. There doesn't need to be any scoring.
I'll probably add some simple audio such as a car engine noise on each stop as well.
I have a sense this might be fairly simple, but I'm going around in circles and it's driving me crazy.

Hi MS
can you upload your story file then someone can help with the triggers on one car which you can repeat for the others.
Here it is... I've just been playing around with different configurations but can't seem to figure out which one works or makes sense.
Thank you all SO much for your quick and wonderful help.
Check out this quick video and tell me if this is what you are after. I have only coded the red car so far onto Marker 1
Ding! Yeah, that's it! Do tell how that's done, please. :)
I removed the freeform so now it is just a regular content slide. I will code the other cars same onto Marker 1 then you can see what I did.
See updated file. I have left your slide then duplicated and made the changes on 2nd slide. This will at least get you started - you may have other requirements that I don't know so if you need more help shout out.
Good luck with your project.
Wonderful... I'll study this and hopefully learn more and more each day. TY!
Here's the almost finished product for this slide. I've got a few tweaks still (the audio is a little loud,) but it's just a fun way to navigate the information.
Thanks again for all the help!
Well done MS! Glad I could help. Good luck with your project.
Nice work, Louisa!
Thank you all for the encouragement. This is really an amazing community and I'm glad I've found it.
Oh have you changed your profile name or am I going mad???
Oh my! LOL Yes, I did update my name and picture. I just realized the info on here was super-old and I must have made that profile back when I first started trying to get into e-learning.
Which answers only one of Wendy's questions :)
Thanks Walt - I think the latter question is answered on a daily basis - LOL
When you spend all day making little cartoon characters on a computer screen talk and walk and act at your will, then I do believe we're all just a bit looney.
And it's a wonderfully mad world to be a part of.
This was a fun thread to read :)
Thanks for sharing Louisa and glad that Wendy was able to assist as well.
Totally. :)
