Hi, I have a short 5 second MP4 file in a layer on my slide. I have the MP4 set to 'loop' by adding a trigger to play the media when the (same) media completes.
It works great when published locally or to Articulate 360. However on the LMS, the video does not loop. It just plays to the end and stops.
Thanks for letting us know about this, sorry if it's causing headaches.
This sounds similar to an issue on our radar dealing with looping videos specifically in the Flash output. I'd like to take a look at your file to confirm.
Would you mind sharing your .story file here so I can take a look? You can add it as an attachment right to a comment in this thread.
Thanks for sharing your file with me. I was able to confirm that this is a known bug in Storyline 360 that our team is currently investigating.
I'm including your experience in our report. As soon as we have any news to share, you'll be notified right away!
Depending on priority and risk, some bugs can be fixed quickly, while others take longer to resolve. Here's more information on how we identify and tackle bugs.
Since this issue is limited to the Flash output, for now you can publish for HTML5 only to avoid hitting it.
Thanks again for reporting this here, and I'm sorry it's slowing you down!
Well thanks for letting me know. I ended up taking the animation out. There was no time for a workaround. Hope to see this fixed in the future. Thanks!
We see this strictly in the Flash output, and HTML5 is behaving normally. Are you experiencing different? Could you also let me know what version of Storyline 360 you're using?
Hey Jack! Are you using the most recent version of Storyline 360?
If so, we've run into some trouble with videos in that update. Videos aren't looping correctly when they are set to play automatically and when they have a "Play Media when the timeline ends on the video" trigger. Is that how your videos are set up?
We've found that this problem doesn't happen if you also trigger to play the media when the timeline starts. Let me know if that resolves the issue for you!
The method I'm using that worked at first but now doesn't is to play the media, then I trigger a 1s blank audio trigger to play, then when that end a trigger to replay the video. I did try just creating a trigger to play the same video but that didn't work. I'm using the latest version of storyline 360 and exporting to html5/flash.
I'll try creating a trigger to play media when timeline starts and see if that fixes the issue.
Keep me posted on how it goes! If we can avoid using the blank audio clip altogether, that'd be ideal. You're always welcome to share your Storyline file with us here, and we'll take a closer look.
I also am experiencing this issue (Video trigged to loop doesn't).
We are currently required to publish using flash due to our Security Settings. Based on Jack most recent post, the blank audio clip workaround doesn't work anymore.

Still having issues loop mp4 videos in storyline 360, any update on a bug fix.

Was another workaround found?
