Multiple Directions

I know I’ve been posting a lot of questions lately, but… In a Text Entry freeform slide, can a user go to a specific slide when they press the next button, but go to different slide if they type the correct answer in the text field and it’s submitted?

Hi cris,

If Im understanding what you want to do correctly, then yes you can. You can modify the trigger configured for the next button to jump to any slide you want.

As for the submit part.. Normally when you submit the interaction it will show a correct layer. You can modify the "continue" button from there to jump to a different slide.

Hope this helps,

Maybe that's what's causing the issue... I placed the Enter button as a submit key. As soon as the use inputs the correct answer and clicks Enter to submit the response, it takes them to whatever slide is associated with the NEXT button instead of the following slide. The "correct" layer does not appear for some reason, even thou the Try again Layer does show if the user answered incorrectly. Is there a way to reactivate the correct layer?

Yep.. you're probably right.

You can remove the slide navigation controls altogether if you want the learners to user your own customized buttons.

From there you can check/uncheck the buttons (You can do this in story view too.. so you can do it for multiple slides or if you want it for the whole course then go edit your Player properties)

As for the "feedback layers" showing. Normally on the edit question, if you don't type in any "custom message", it won't appear so you can look into that.

Nevertheless, Even if they're not there.. you can always create a layer manually and direct your triggers there.

Hope this helps,

Donna
