Need Media Player--Recommendations?

May 14, 2012

I'm looking for a media player that, at the very least, can play SWFs, FLVs, MP4s, MPGs, AVIs, WMVs, and MOVs.  Any other formats would be gravy.

At the same time, if the utility could show some of the video file's properties, that would be great.  And, if free, even greater.

Often I get a bad video for possible use in Storyline (or Presenter) and I'd like a separate tool to check the video out in.

Anyone have any recommendations?

Hey, Diane!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

The VLC Media Player works great.  In looking it over and doing some more research on it, I also found a reference to another tool (Avidemux) that helped me fix two FLVs with their audio tracks out of sync:  http://www.ehow.com/how_7201935_synchronize-flv-audio-video.html .
