I'm hoping a fresh pair of eyes can help with what is probably a very basic issue. Next and Previous buttons are not showing for me after the criteria has been meet on the slide.
E.g. I have a main slide that links to 4 others, on return to the main slide even though the required states have changed to 'visited' the next/prev buttons are not showing.
I have tried adding triggers for the state change, but this hasn't worked either.
I have changed the settings so that when you return to the main slide it 'resumes saved state'
Perhaps I need the main slide to link to layers rather than different slides?
Brian is on point with his recommendation of variables. Take a look at the changes I made to your file. I added a variable called "NextButton", and I added variable conditions to your triggers.

Wendy's help in this thread might jog some ideas. States can be a bit "quirky" so you might consider variables in lieu of state change triggers
