There's a bug where I add a line return for spacing between paragraphs and it looks fine in Flash, though the HTML5 published version doesn't have the line breaks between paragraphs. I tried adding multiple Shift+Enter and also using the line spacing options in Storyline, though nothing works.
Hello again, Dan -- Upon further investigation of the matter, I wanted to let you know that this issue has been reported to our QA team previously and is still under review. Thank you for your input, and although I am not able to provide a timeframe for resolution or a workaround, I will be adding your thread to the open ticket, and will update here with any new information I receive.
Hi, is there any update on a fix for this issue? We are using the Notes section for an audio transcript and missing line breaks in the HTML5 version make the text difficult to read and much less useful for learners.
Hi, Sherry -- Thanks for touching base! Unfortunately, I do not have any additional updates to provide from our QA team at this time. However, since you have replied to this post, you should now be subscribed, so you will receive an email notification if any further info is shared here. Your patience is appreciated!
Thank you Leslie. I know you don't support modifications to the code, but this may help your team to find a solution. If you add this code to the player.css file located in the "mobile" folder, the spacing between paragraphs is properly restored in the transcript section when the eLearning program is viewed in HTML5 mode:
I am republishing a Storyline course that uses Notes for the slide audio transcript. When it was created in 2016, all paragraph spacing and bullets in Notes were perfect. Now all the spacing is gone and some bullet styles are not recognized. I am unable to fix by going in and trying to add returns. Also, some of my triggers to layers for an interactive menu have disappeared. Is this a compatibility issue with MS Windows 10 or Google Chrome? How can I fix this as a client is needing to release the revised published compliance course? HELP!!!!!

You could try this fix for the notes formatting. Not sure what would cause the triggers to malfunction. If you want to send me the file, I can take a quick look at it.

Hi Dan,
Thanks for the reply. If I publish using an older version of storyline do you think that might allow me to make changes without these problems?
I am checking with my client to see if I can send the revised LMS course without HTML5. My course is too large to send in email even when zipped. Is there another way I could post it for you to look at and possibly add the coding you referred to? Or could you send me detailed instructions as I am unsure how to add them?
I'm sorry you ran into this issue with notes text and the HTML5 output. I wanted to let you know that although the issue still exists in Storyline 2, it does not appear to exist in Storyline 3/360.
Hopefully Daniel is able to help you make modifications to your course if needing to use the Storyline 2 version.
We'll continue to keep an eye on this issue in Storyline 2, evaluate how many customers are impacted and what impact it has on courses. The number of customers and depth of impact are two of the elements that help us prioritize bugs and fixes.
Here's some more detail about how we tackle bugs. I'm really sorry that I can't say if this issue will be fixed in SL2 but you're in the right place to stay updated on this bug's progress.
I'm experiencing the same problem with Storyline 2. It renders fine in Internet Explorer, but it removes the paragraph spacing and shrinks the font substantially in Google Chrome and Edge. Is there any fix on the horizon, aside from upgrading? Thanks in advance for your help.
Hi Peggy. Oscar mentioned a "hack" fix you would have to do yourself in the thread above.

Hi, Dan -- Sorry to hear of the issue you are experiencing. Would you happen to have a file that we could take a closer look at for you?

Hi Christie,
Any updates on a fix for this issue?

Hi Oscar - I do not have an update to share at this time, but I did make a note for our team so that we are aware of users impacted.

Thanks Oscar. Nice work-around.

Dan,
I just replied to your first email and hadn't seen this one. Thank you for your offer. I will send you the file tomorrow.

Not if you're publishing out to HTML5.

Hi Marianne,
I would recommend to upgrade to Storyline 3/360 as Ashley mentioned that it doesn't have the notes issue with exporting to HTML5.
Best,
Dan
Those are two separate programs. Either Storyline 3 or Storyline 360.

I believe the HTML transcript spacing issues were fixed in Storyline 3/360, Articulate staff?
