Is anyone having issues with not being able to see text typed in the title or anywhere on the slide when working in the scene itself. You can type and you can see it when you preview but on the slide itself you don't see anything. Makes it really difficult to edit and adjust its position, not to mention spelling and grammar.
Thanks for providing a sample story file. I am not seeing the same behavior that you are seeing. I am wondering if it is a version issue (I am on 3.14.15225.0), or perhaps computer-related.
Did you update your software, or Windows system lately?
I've attached a screenshot of what I am seeing, with some added text.
Wow. ok. That is so odd. I checked for updates and there are non. IT just installed the last update for Storyline for me about 2 weeks ago. No updates to the OS that I know of. We did have some other upgrades that screwed up my profile last week, but that has been resolved. I just opened it again its still the same. Hmmmm.
I would venture to say that version difference is because I have SL 360. Sorry for any confusion that this may have caused!
When you had your Windows profile repaired, was there also a fresh install of SL? If not, it may be a good idea to try reinstalling the application. Just make you have your files saved first. :)
I doubt it is anything that you are doing yourself, as I was able to see your text without any modification, right when I opened it.
I'd be curious to hear how a reinstall goes. Have a great evening!
Can you take a look at disabling Modern text and let me know if that changes what you're seeing?
I opened your file and on the slide itself while editing I could see the text, although it was not showing in the slide thumbnail in Story view. Once I toggled it off and back on all the text appeared normally again.
It's similar to an issue our team is looking into, so we'll keep you posted here with any updates on that!
Ah Ha! that worked. I never noticed that setting before. I have SL3 (begged for SL360, but no luck). Good to know that setting is there for future reference. thank you soooo much.
Hi Keithia! As promised, we're popping in to let you know that we released update 6 for Storyline 3! It includes enhanced features and fixes - Check them out here.
One fix addressed an issue where modern text would sometimes become invisible in the Storyline editor.

how do I do that?
Hi Keithia,
The directions are here, but I also recorded a quick Peek video for you.
You'll see in your file once I disabled Modern text the text reappeared on the thumbnail and stayed when I reapplied it.
My Peek recording is in Storyline 360, but that'll be the same set up in Storyline 3.
