I begin the project, which seems to be very large and I am not sure that even several scenes in one project will work correctly in LMS. So the solution could be one slide that contains only links to say 8 published in SCORM projects. Is it possible to make so, that LMS could track any path the user will take?
Not sure many LMS's like a course that launches other courses. Tracking info may be lost and results not get reported back.
You could look to do a multi-SCO and divide things up into separate modules. Just publish out separate courses in SL and then use a third-party SCORM packager tool (like Simple SCORM Packager) to bundle them up into one course. But then, with this, each module would need to be completed for course completion credit.
Otherwise, a single course with branching may be best. Don't think Storyline has any limits on how many slides you can have in a course.
Gerry, thank you very much for answer. Storyline is an excellent tool and has no defined limis. But our courses have many layers, sound and triggers.
100 such slides in Storyline work well, but as we tried to copy these slides 6 times and launch these slides in Storyline, Storyline could not publish these slides. For recent project we need 800-1000 slides and have to find workaround. Again that's not a limitation or bug of Storyline - may be our projects are too large.

Thanks for the update.
Keeping things shorter often works better depending on the subject. Most of the time these days, I see folks trying to keep courses to around 5-20 minutes--bite-size chunks.
That's where dividing things up into modules often works. Easier to develop and maintain, IMVHO.
