We noticed this week that when a user view a matching question slide and move the seekbar, the options resize and become smaller. Also, when jumping to previous slide and coming back, the options appear behind the association normal size.
I created a slide in Storyline to test and even when previewing the slide in Storyline, I was able to replicate my issue.
I have attached the Storyline file to this post in case you need it.
Thanks so much for bringing this to our attention! I saw the same thing in my own testing in Storyline 360, and that's definitely not what we'd expect. Fortunately, the same problem doesn't happen in the published output--it seems to only happen in Storyline preview. Did you notice the same thing?
I'll be sure to share this problem with my team, and we'll begin looking at next steps. As soon as I know more, I'll pass the information along to you!
Thank you for your response. I use Moodle as LMS and the issue happens there as well as in the preview of Storyline 3. Weird that with 360, the output doesn't replicate.
Anyways, I will wait on news for this fix. Thank you
I wanted to circle back to share what I found when I tested your slide published with Storyline 3 in SCORM Cloud (an LMS testing tool). When I click and drag the seekbar backward, the answer choices appear correctly. They don't shrink in size like they do in Preview mode.
Sorry for the delay in response for this. I just tried the link and saw that the options were not resizing. However, I had issue clicking and dragging the options. I was not able to pick the option to bring it to the appropriate column.
Thanks, Marianne. I saw some odd behavior if I dragged the seekbar prior to answering all the items. If I had answered them and then changed my mind to drag again, the seekbar didn't make much difference. Here's a quick screen recording - does that match what you're seeing too? I'll share that screen recording of it with my team too as they look into this!
It looks like Ashley already shared the screen recording and has attached this conversation to the report so that we can pop in and update you here when we can :)
We're targeting to release the same fix in the next update of Storyline 3. I don't have an ETA on that release just yet, but we'll let you know as soon as it goes live!

Ah, thanks for those extra details, Marianne! I'll do some further testing in Storyline 3. As always, we'll keep you posted on news of a fix.

Can you also test this link and let me know if you see the same thing?

Hi Marianne,
What browser were you using to view Alyssa's course? I opened it in Chrome ver. 70 and was able to drag and submit the answers as shown here:
Let me know what you're using and I can test in that version too!
Hello Ashley.
I updated my Chrome to v70 and it works fine until I play with the timeline. But other than that everything works correctly.
Thank you for the follow-up.

Hi Ashley
Yes it is the behavior that I am experiencing.
Thank you
Glad we narrowed it down, and I shared the video with my team too. We'll let you know here as soon as we have any updates to share!
Thanks for confirming Marianne.

Hello everyone,
I'm excited to let you know that we just released update 23 for Storyline 360! It includes new features and fixes - check them all out here.
Here's the one you will be particularly interested in:
Fixed: In drag-and-drop interactions, drag items didn't always move with your mouse or stay where you dropped them.
Here’s how you can update Storyline 360 to take advantage of everything the latest release has to offer. Let me know how you make out!
Hi Leslie
Great news!! However, we are not using the 360 version. Will that be fixed for Storyline 3 as well?
Hi Marianne!
We're targeting to release the same fix in the next update of Storyline 3. I don't have an ETA on that release just yet, but we'll let you know as soon as it goes live!
Hi Alyssa
Thank you for letting me know.
Marianne
Good news, Marianne! We fixed the issue you reported where drag items didn't always move with your mouse or stay where you dropped them.
