Outlook spasm

Has anyone had any issues in the last few days with MS Outlook crashing whilst Storyline is saving? My colleague has experienced problems a few days ago and both yesterday and today I have experienced a similar problem, where Outlook has a 'not responding' tantrum and then crashes when I try to use it while Storyline is saving. My colleague lost her whole calendar! If anyone has any suggestions on a fix, please post.

Outlook isn't tied to Storyline, so I'm not sure what would be causing this, unless they're trying to use the client to email a course. If your colleague hasn't done so already, they may want to contact Microsoft, or search their support forums to see if there are any other reports of this happening. Maybe there was a recent update that's affecting specific systems running Outlook and causing the crash when working in other programs.
Personally, I have Outlook running 24/7, along with Storyline and I haven't seen this come up yet. Definitely something to keep an eye on, though. If you find any other information, please share!

Thanks Christine, I'll get our IT Team to look into it if it occurs again.
I know this is an old thread but I have the same issue, all the time! I know they are not tied together but it is pretty consistent. I've also had this happen with Word. I've repaired both applications and that doesn't seem to work either. I guess it is just something we will have to learn to live with.

I'm not familiar with an issue like this. Have you had your IT Dept check your system and perhaps error logs to see what may be going on. Up until recently, I've utilized Outlook with Storyline and never had an issue.
