Really depends on how the audio plays if it is layers, set the layers to hide one another and pause the base layer. If you are triggering the audio off the base layer you will need triggers to stop the other media playing
The base layer has audio. Then you can select dates (different layers) that also have audio with each layer. How do I stop the other media from playing and overlapping the other layers?
Use the Stop Media trigger. It has to be tied to the layers. You can put at trigger on Layer one: Stops media playback of sound.wav on baselayer when the timeline begins on this layer.
You can duplicate the trigger and change it to Play Media sound.wav on Base Layer when user clicks Button 1.
Then the base layer will continue the audio, IIRC. Stop media is more a "Pause" media,

You can even loop it with two triggers:
Play Media when the timeline begins
Play Media (same1) When Media ends...
Loopity-de-loop
Thank you both! It worked!
