Over the last few days, I have been periodically unable to see the thumbnails of page layouts. When I right-click a slide and select Select Layout, I see a generic version of each layout option. (See attached)
I thought this was a resource issue on my system, but maxing out my memory to 16 gig did not help. I am running Storyline 3 on Windows 10. Restarting Storyline usually helps, and if that does not, rebooting my system does.

Can I confirm that you're working locally? Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, such as file corruption, an inability to save changes, and loss of resources.
Is this happening with only one .story file, or with other files as well? If you see this behavior on multiple files, we might recommend to conduct a simple repair of Storyline 3 – if you haven't already ☺️
Can you share what happens next after clicking on one of those layouts?
