pairing questions in a randomised quiz

Hi all

I've built a 70-question quiz in Storyline, from which I want to randomise and draw 50 questions. However, I have six questions that involve two slides: one - a blank slide for scoring purposes - sets out a scenario. The question comes in the next slide. This is because there's not enough room on one slide to include everything. In the question bank, I've locked these slides together. However, when I randomise the question draw, they appear separately and randomly. I could set up a trigger for the ' next' button on the blank scenario slides always to jump to their partner question slides, but how could I ensure that each blank slide appears first in the shuffle?

Hi Anne, 

That's an interesting situation. I'm guessing the blank slide and question slide you'd like it to be locked to aren't staying locked because only one of them is an actual question slide, correct? Is it necessary for you to use a non-quizzing blank slide for the scenario slide, or would you be able to use a freeform slide with the option for the user to skip it and scoring turned off? I think they will be able to remain locked that way...

Can you include your .story file here for us to look at? Or send it in privately?
