I am using the seekbar in my project, but when I click on the play/pause button, only the media stops and the animations and textboxes keep going. I timed my project so that it automatically proceeds from the base layer to each layer and then to the following slide, but I would like to be able to press the pause button and not have everything get messed up. Thanks!
Is the media element on a different layer than the animations and text boxes? Have you allowed seeking on the layers independently from your base layer? You can read more about the layer properties you can set up here.
Using the built in seekbar within the player should pause the timeline, so this would include any media, animations, etc that you have linked to the timeline. Do you have a file you could share for us to take a look at your set up?
So I looked at my layer properties and clicked "allowed seeking" so now the animations will pause but the media won't. I am uploading the file for you to take a look at. Thanks so much!
The items that are in the layers will not pause from the baseline seekbar. You may want to consider moving these items into the base layer since the audio is in the base layer timeline. When you allow the layers to allow seeking, their seekbar will appear when the base layer is complete, or paused.
You have the main audio on the base layer, and the second part of the animation divided over two layers. The seekbar is limited in that it can pause the base layer, but not the extra layer; or it can pause the extra layer, but not the base layer.
I would suggest either moving your animations from the extra layers to the base layers. Or cutting your audio into three parts and putting the relevant audio on each layer.
That's going to be a lot of work to redo the project. Is there anyway to create a button to play and pause both the audio and the animations I have? So instead of using the seekbar, the viewer can manually click a button on the presentation. Thanks!
Unfortunately there is not a trigger to pause the timeline, so while you could add a button to pause the audio, the timeline will continue unless you use the pause button from the seekbar. It would probably be best to add the items in the layers into the timeline of the base layer.

Hi Kat,
I think I have discovered the issue.

Thank you everyone! Deanna, that was exactly what the problem was. It works perfectly now!
Glad you got this to work Kat!
