I have a question about a Storyline capability as well as a question on an error.
I am trying to create a Help link in the player, and I'd like to show a different slide or lightbox depending on what slide they're on.
I'm assuming I need to go into Show Conditions to do this, after adding a new Player Tab. When I click Show Conditions, I get an error (Storyline Error Report). I have the most recent update. My teammate is getting the same error.
The player tabs are only triggered as you set them up within the player - and can't be triggered on a slide by slide basis or to show a different slide.
In regards to the error you're seeing, I'd want to check that you're working on local project files as described here. Also, you mentioned having the most recent update, is this a new error since downloading the update? I'd recommend conducting the repair of Storyline as described here.
Thanks! I used both instructions and am still getting the error. What is supposed to come up when clicking Show Conditions? What capabilities does Show Conditions have?
What you should see when adding a new player tab with conditions are the windows appear like below:
The conditions allow you to determine under what circumstances the event will happen - so if a variable is equal to a certain value, if the shape state is X, or if the window is in a lightbox are just a few of the examples.
Since you've already done the repair, there is a further process here that I'd like you to go through but it's a bit more involved.
