I want my player to be without any feature. This is possible in Desktop view but when I use tablet/ phone view I always get that black tab with the menu icon on the right hand side!! that does not look good at all specially when creating an App.
If you've disabled all player features in your course, the responsive player should disappear on all devices. Have you double checked that there isn't an errant feature enabled on a random slide?
