PNG Outline since latest update

Aug 30, 2023

I have noticed that since the latest update, when I paste a PNG to Storyline, a black outline appears around the image. I am pretty sure it has to do with the update as I had a colleague open the same file prior to updating and the black line was not there. Once she updated Storyline, the black line appeared.

I also note that the black line does not show in preview or publish, however, it is still annoying in the design process.

Hi everyone,

I have some great news to share! We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Build 3.79.30921.0, we've included a couple of fixes.

One of the bugs we've fixed is:

  • Images with transparency appeared darker in the Storyline 360 editor

Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer to take advantage of this update, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here.

Please let me know if you need additional help!

Hi Janita, and welcome to the E-Learning Heroes community!

We can replicate this issue where the transparency of an image appears darker while editing a course in Storyline 360, Build 3.79.30834.0 than in previous versions of Storyline. However, the image displays as expected when the course is published.

Our team is aware that this bug was presented in this update, and we’ll be sure to update this discussion as soon as we have a fix in place!

As a current workaround, you can roll back to an earlier version of Storyline 360. Here's how:

If you have any questions, please let me know!
