Until last week everything was working great. Today I want to continue working on my project editing voice and images and my preview function on articulate story line (first version) is not working.
Can anyone help? It is urgent as my project has a deadline.
I've uninstalled the old flash player - reinstalled. Checked for updates on Windows version 10 and I'm up to date - nothing seems to work. reboot - reboot again. Can we say we hate flash? on to html 5?
If you've checked that you're up to date with Windows updates and Storyline updates and still having difficulty we'll want to have you work directly with our Support engineers so that they can take a better look at your set up.
Just curious if this fix for Windows 8 happened today. I haven't tried any of the remedies listed on this thread as I was waiting to see if that solved the problem.
We're keeping an eye on it (read: I keep checking for updates and restarting my Windows 8 machine!) but from what I've heard from some of our Developers is Microsoft/Windows typically does their patches later in the day - typically no earlier than 11 am PST. I know, you'd think when they say "Tuesday" it would be the start of Tuesday...
Anyway - we're watching it like hawks - I'm in the same boat too and accidently let the update happen and don't want to remove it with only (less than) a day to go! So in the meantime, I'm just publishing and testing it at Tempshare. Not ideal but easy enough for me personally.
We don't have it officially documented yet - but I just installed the Windows 8 updates myself and after rebooting my system, everything seems to be previewing and working normally. This article will be updated later today if you need to follow those steps to go through the update process. (article is within Storyline, but same steps will apply for Storyline 1 and Studio '13 in regards to Windows updates).
Ah, good distinction Mark - I just went with all the updates to ensure it covered everything. Thanks for sharing that piece here. Do you remember what the update was title or the name associated with it? One of our team members shared that it was listed as KB3133431for him. The same update number was associated with Windows 10 and Windows 8.1 on his set up.

Maybe I should try to disable the IE browser?
any other suggestions?

Horray! It's fixed.
Though note to others trying to fix for Windows 8;
The regular Windows Update didn't install the needed fix (for me anyway).
I had to go and install the 'optional' updates before the fix worked.

No, sorry. I just went ahead and installed all the optional updates.
