problem with recording 2 audio channels while capturing software

Nov 13, 2013

Hi guys,

I have a problem with recording 2 audio channels while capturing software simulation. My software is Cubase7 (sound-editing program), so i need to record my narration and software's sounds simultaneously, but after publishing the simulation there's only my voice's left, without Cubase's sounds. Do you have any ideas how to solve it?

Thanks,

JAZZ

Good Afternoon, Jazz.

This is not a known limitation in Storyline, so if you wouldn't mind sharing both (a) your .story project file and (b) your multi-channel audio file with us for further testing, we'd appreciate it.

As a possible workaround, what happens if you use Audacity to mix your multiple channels into one before inserting it into Storyline?  Do let us know!

Hi Justin, thanks for the quick answer.

I'll be able to send my files only tomorrow (there are at my office).

Meanwhile i'll try to explain myself better. The problem is that during the capturing i hear the sounds in my speakers, but then i don't hear them even in preview mode (i hear only my narration that i recorded with mic).  It looks like the Storyline captures only the microphone's sound, without additional internal sounds.

Thanks for clarifying, Jazz.

When the screen recorder appears, the first thing you will want to do is click the gear icon on the recorder control bar to select your recording options.

Configure the following settings:

Microphone:  If you want to record audio from your microphone during your screencast, select the Microphone checkbox.  (Make sure your microphone is plugged in and ready to go.)  Then use the Microphone drop-down list to select the microphone you want to use for recording.

Speakers:  Select the Speakers checkbox if you want to record system sounds, and use the Speakers drop-down list to select your desired playback device.

Click the OK button to save your screen recording options, then Record your Screen.

Please let us know if you need anything else.  Thanks!
