I am having trouble screen recording a software - the Storyline software seems to be OK with other software and will work for all 3 modes you can select when screen recording, but will not pick up screen changes / button clicks over the software I am trying to use. (Picture for example - only 1 slide will be screen recorded but curser will hang up - shown by highlighted box)
Sorry to hear you're running into the screen recording tool not working correctly, and thanks for sharing that image. I can see that you indeed inserted the video in View mode to show the step-by-step slides.
Have you tried screen recording the software in a new blank Storyline file to see if that helps capture the clicks? We don't want you to spin your wheels, so if you're running into a wall, connect with one of our support engineers, and they'll give you a helping hand with your file!
