I have problems importing audio files into Articulate storyline. The audio files I'm using is in this format, wav, 48khz, 32 bit. Whenever I import in an audio, the audio does not show any audio waveform (I hope I'm using the correct term). Here's a printscreen to show what I mean. Is there something I"m doing wrong? The file names are short and have no spaces in between the words. Hope someone can help me out soon as this is quite urgent.
Hi Grace and Welcome to E-Learning Heroes! Well normally we see other issues besides just a missing waveform, but I think that you should check out this article on audio issues in Storyline. You may need to convert your audio format. If your troubleshooting doesn't help, you can share your .wav file with us for testing.
Hi, I've tried converting my audio format into the recommended specs, however, all that shows up is a line instead of an audio waveform. When i double-click to edit the "line", I am able to see the audio waveform, but it is so tiny and soft, and I would need to boost up the volume a few thousand times to make it audible. When I try putting the audio in Adobe Soundbooth, I can view the audio waveform with no problems at all. I've attached my wav file with the original specs. I hope you can help me test this and find out what seems to be the problem. Appreciate all the help I can get!
Hi Grace! I'm not sure what's going on with your audio. What you sent me was about 1 second long. So, two choices: you can either continue to play with your sound-editing to see if you can figure out what's going on, or you could submit a case for someone to look further into. Thanks!

I've noticed Storyline will occasionally NOT show the audio waveform until the mouse cursor is hovered over the audio timeline.
If the waveform is really small, it may be that your audio isn't normalized.

Hi Sam, The audio was given to me by a recording studio. They used some kind of software to 'balance the levels' or so they said. We figured it was this "balancing" problem. I asked them to give me the original files instead and have had no problems with importing those. Thanks for your input though.

Hi Leslie,
The recording studio that gave me this audio used some kind of software to 'balance the levels'. Once they gave me the original audio, I didn't have anymore problems with importing. I have no idea why that software caused the audio to have problems in Storyline, but I'm relieved I have the audio to work with as we are rushing this project. Thank you for all your help though. It is much appreciated.
Thank you for you quick response. I have used the appropriate file types and they did work previously. I then ran into the 'loading audio' issue, but I the audio never loads. I have since attempted to import different files into new projects, however, I can no longer import any audio files.
I have contacted my IS&T department for a reinstall, so hopefully the repair works.

That is strange! Glad you got it working though, and thanks for the update!
My Storyline 2 has lost the ability to import audio. I import from the C drive and all I get is the attached pop up and then nothing happens.
Please help!
Hi Jeremy!
Is this any audio file or just one that you are having difficulty with?
Be sure that it is a supported format as specified here.
If you are having issues with your Storyline 2 software in general, I would advise a repair.
