Problems with drag&drop

Mar 10, 2016

Hello,

I've created a drag&drop and I want to show a individual result layer. Unfortunatly the trigger I've set doesn't work. It says that the drop objects don't have a "dropped correct" status, eventough I've added this status to the drop objects. Can anybody help me? I've set this kind of trigger already in another course and there it worked without any problems.

Hi, Stefanie -- Thanks so much for reaching out with your question, and sorry to hear of your difficulties! As you stated that this type of trigger has worked for you without issue in the past, you may want to take a look at this information for some troubleshooting steps you can try. And if issues persist, it might be worthwhile to share your file here, as well.

Hi Stefanie,

Did you create the state of dropped correct by using the duplicate state button of normal, or just using the new state button? I've heard of an issue in the German UI where using the duplicate button causes the state to not behave as expected.

If you'd like, I am happy to take a look at your file as well using the English UI which I have set up on my system.

Hi Christie,

thank you for your help I must admit, the one course that works was build by a collegue, but I've build the interaction in the same way, so there is no visible difference. I will attach the file with this slide below. Except of that I have no problems with Storyline so there is no need to re-install it.

Hi Ashley,

Thank you also for your help! I tried you tip with using the "New state button" instead of the "dupblicate button". Now the error message in the Trigger window is gone, but it still doesn't Show the Feedback slide.

I found now another solution using a counting Trigger, which works. But actually I would like to know whats wrong in this solution. It would be great if you could have a look on it.
