Problems with freezing in LMS

Dec 27, 2018

I have a problem with a course I'm working on in SL3. One of the interactions freeze the course in my LMS(Bridge). This isn't happening in preview. I have tried re-importing the file but it still freezes on the same interaction. The interaction is programmed in the same way as all of the other interactions on that page. I can't find a reason for the freezing. Any suggestions?

Hi Rusty,

Have you tried testing this on the SCORM Cloud which is an industry standard tool for testing SCORM content, to see if you are getting the same issue? Do you have access to other browsers to see if you get the same result? If you're comfortable sharing your project file here so we can take a look that would be great.

Here's a community article to Troubleshoot your course in SCORM Cloud.

Hi there, Rusty. So sorry you're running into that!

Shiela's spot-on: The best way to determine if this is an issue with your Storyline content or LMS output is to test your course in SCORM Cloud. If you can reproduce the freezing there, that tells us that the issue lies within Storyline. If your course works smoothly there, then the problem is in your LMS' output.

Let us know if you need a hand with testing!

We are migrating our entire course catalog over to a new LMS that uses SCORM.

This particular course was developed in SL2 and converted to SL3, published to SCORM 2004 3rd Edition. The course seems to freeze when the user goes back to previously accessed content and then forward to new content several times. It does not seem to be a consistent issue with a specific slide.

I am testing on SCORM Cloud as well as Our LMS  (Docebo) using Chrome (automatically updated). I am using SL3 Version 6: 3.6.18134.0

Hi Richard,

Would you be able to share a copy of the .story file with our Support Team

I know our team has seen at least one other example where a course is freezing upon resuming and while reviewing a quiz drawn from a question bank. Does that match what you're experiencing?

If you're able to share that file, our team can test and confirm the issue, and then work with you on the next steps!
