Quite new to this, I have been asked to create several new screen cast videos to explain step by step guides new software we are using in college.
I have created the screen cast in 'View Mode Steps' as I only want the user to view the screen cast and not interact. I added text captions on every slide when i i click on a certain button however when i export this an an MP4 the text captions are not on the video.
I have access to other screen recording software such as Captivate etc but I like using the interface with Articulate.
Im not sure if i am not selecting the correct option, its just when i export the screen cast/software simulation into an MP4 the text captions i edited myself are not displayed on the export video.
Hello Vincent - It sounds like you are wanting to retain your captions when exporting the screencast as an MP4 and this is not an option available. Nancy explains this well here if you'd like to take a look.
Hopfully others in the community will be able to chime in and share what works well for them as well.
Leslie lays the knowledge down! Again!! So, Vincent, if you need to export to mp4, AND you need the captions it's sounding if you should just build or rebuild in Camtasia or similar program.
