Profile image - Scorm data

Not sure where to start with this one...

I am creating a subscription LMS that allows users to login and attempt storyline activities. I have a developer doing all the back end while I create the storyline activities. As an added element, I have created an avatar designer that I want users to interact with and save their cartoon to be their profile image.

The storyline activity works and the image can be coloured by the user but the developer has asked for a "save button" that will emit the required data when I publish as a SCORM 1.2.  Any suggestions, please? Thanks in advance.
