When I publish a course, say for an LMS, I noticed the HTML output files in Windows Explorer show as opening with Internet Explorer - that's because I had IE as my default browser for html files.
Once I upload the Storyline folder to an LMS, I assume the course will open using whatever browser the user opens, NOT with the browser my computer defaulted to, is that right?

That is correct. The HTML will open within the browser of their choosing.
