Publishing in AICC

Nov 08, 2012

We are looking to host our own content on an internal server.  I am publishing the files in AICC, the course loads to our LMS (Cornerstone Ondemand) and will launch however it has three non severe errors.  When the file is published it is not generating three files ORT, PRE, or CMP.  I believe this is why the course will not let a user pick up where they left off when you leave mid course.  Can someone please give me some advice.

Thanks!

Hi Johana. Welcome to E-Learning Heroes!

The first thing you may want to do is test the content in SCORM Cloud. You can do this with the AICC content, but there are some additional steps you'll need to take. This knowledge base article explains how

Also, take a look at this article, which outlines common issues pertaining to viewing and tracking content in an LMS. You'll also find a section toward the bottom that explains how to test in SCORM Cloud.

I believe, if I remember this right, the ORT, PRE and CMP files are not generated or used a lot of the time by programs like Storyline.  They're considered optional, whereas the AU, DES, CST, and CRS files are always needed.
