Question Bank: No Results Slide option in Slide View

Mar 30, 2020

I have a course with 40 knowledge checks.

I have created two question banks, one pretest and one post test and populated them with the knowledge checks.

I went into the pretest question bank to set all of the questions to report results to my pretest results slide; but when I open the slide options (gear) while in the question bank slide view, the Results slide dropdown is nowhere to be seen.

I want my pretest to report to one results slide and my posttest to a different one; how would I accomplish this?

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Hi Rodney,

I hope all is well. I'm more than happy to help you with this one.

You can do this on the Results Slide Properties. You can choose from there which question bank you would like to appear on a particular results slide. This means that all the questions asked that were drawn from a particular question bank will be reported to the results slide you choose. Here is a screenshot:

I hope this helps. Let me know how it goes.

Thank you for the reply, Lejan!

Yes, that is what I thought as well... but when I take the pretest, even though I have selected the pretest question bank like your example here, it was still refusing to give results.

I went ahead and started over again, just to see if there was a glitch somewhere with the existing exams. Hopefully I will get the results I am looking for this time!

Hi Rodney,

Happy to help. If you're not getting the correct results, make sure to reference the correct variable for each results slides and also on the slide triggers. By default, creating a new results slide will generate these 4 variables:

If you created a second results slides, the variables will be set automatically to this:

Yes, another quick way to fix this is to delete your existing results slides and create a new one. If you're still having problems, let me know. Hopefully, it will be sorted out.

Let me know. Cheers!
