I have a question bank set up to draw 10 questions from a pool of 20. Is there a way I can get the screen to display a question number, so learners know how far they have progressed?
Is there a modern solution to this problem? It is 2024 and things have changed but I can't find a way to make it so that I gat something that says "question x of y" at the bottom of the page and that would reset if they were to retry the quiz. Using the player to number the questions is not an option either. I don't want a menu to show.

Thank you so much! That is a great help.
This does not work well. Because upon review of correct/incorrect answers the number count will continue to increase.

The example posted by Steve still works, nothing has changed in Storyline to make this easier.
You can use if for review by setting a variable for each question that is populated by the question number variable only if it is initially 0
