Quiz branching - return to quiz?

Jan 09, 2015

Greetings Articulate Community!

I'm looking for a little help.  I've built a course with a quiz.  One of the quiz questions branches back to a content slide if the user gets the question wrong.  How do I get the user back to the quiz after reviewing the material?

I've created a T/F variable that changes to True when the quiz is started - I inserted a hidden button on the content slide (that should direct them back to the quiz), I set a trigger on the slide to change the button to change to Normal when the variable changes to True - but it's not working.  Is there a trick I should know about or something else I should do to make this work?

Thank you!
Amber

Hello Amber!

Attached is a very basic set up of a way to approach this using the built in next button (or a custom next button if you are using that) Set a numeric variable on the content slide to 0, then add 1 when timeline starts.

Have the next button jump to the next slide on condition that that variable is = 1. Then, for when the users gets directed back to that slide, have the trigger set to jump to (quiz slide) on condition that the variable is greater than one.

Hope this helps, and if others have ideas, I am sure they will chime in!
