Quiz Master

Jul 23, 2018

I am trying to create a new quiz master. I mainly want to change the states of the radio buttons. I know how to do this on an individual slide, but was hoping to set it up on the Master slide since this will be a template many people will use. Is there a way to do this? I tried creating one radio button with my desired states and set it as the default, but when I insert a new quiz question it adapts the format from the quiz master slide, not the radio button default I created.

Hi Alexandria,

Really sorry you've run into this. Using the "set as default radio button" option should work in theory, but we're seeing an issue in Storyline where that option isn't respecting the custom states you created.

Until we get this straightened out, you can use the Format Painter to apply the custom states to the other radio buttons. And if you need to create new quiz slides, simply duplicate the slides you have already created, and edit the question text.

Hello Alyssa,

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, I need to create a template many users can build from so I can't trust that they will use the format painter on all of their buttons. I have decided to adjust my button so it matches the one the system is automatically creating on feedback slides to reduce confusion. I have created This isn't ideal, but will work for now.

I did get the radio button to work thankfully so that is great!

Hello Antje,

Thanks for sharing what you are experiencing as well. I'm adding this information to the report and you are certainly in the right place to be notified of any updates that we have to share here.

Hi InteGreat,

No news at this time, but you are in the right place to get updates as well.

I wanted to share some information on how we define bugs and how we tackle them when they occur as that may be helpful to both of you.
