Quizmaker Quiz in Storyline

Nov 10, 2013

Hello,

When I import a PowerPoint that includes a quiz into storyline, and publish with LMS. The view of the Quiz is very bland and has lost a lot of its features. I have included screen shots below as an example

The top example is the LMS published storyline lesson. This is used to produce HTML5 and IOS compatible  lessons. The lower example is the PowerPoint LMS published lesson used for SWF files.

The Red are the more important features:

- Can I show a separate title in the quiz without inserting a text box manually?

- Can I show a drop down menu of the current question you are on?

- Can I show the "score so far"?

The Green are the less important features:

- Can the "resources" tab in the storyline lesson show as "attachments" instead?

- Can I show the current questions point value?

I apologize in advanced if these questions have been asked and answered. I tried to use the search and turned up with nothing. I am quite new to the articulate software as well as this forum. So I was as detailed  as I could be.

Good Morning, Adam.

Please allow us to address each of your questions:

Q:  Can I show a separate title in the quiz without inserting a text box manually?

A:  I believe a Text Box would be the way to do this.  You could insert it into a Slide Master to avoid repeating it on multiple slides.

Q:  Can I show a drop down menu of the current question you are on?

A:  Although this is not a built-in feature of Storyline, this Forum Thread discusses some creative ways you might be able to make it happen.

Q:  Can I show the "score so far"?

A:  Within this Forum Thread, Sij points out how he has used our %Results.ScorePoints% variable to display "Score so far" on each question slide.

Q:  Can the "resources" tab in the storyline lesson show as "attachments" instead?

A:  If you don't like the word "resources," you can change it.  The tab name comes from your player's Text Labels, which you can edit by following this tutorial.

Q:  Can I show the current questions point value?

A:  While demonstrating how to calculate negative point values in this Forum Thread, Ben's source file also demonstrates how to display point values in general.

Please let us know if you need anything else, and have a great day!
