quizz : Feedback text + translation in quizz

Sep 05, 2012

Hi everyone

1/ i have some difficulty to find the right way to create  customized feedback text & button in another language.

i created a button on one slide hoping that it would be integrated in all the project, without success... am i doing wrong?

2/ i selected French for the whole project but the" true/false" questions are not translated. is it normal?

thank you

Greetings, MA.

Please allow us to address each of your questions individually:

1.  If you wish to design the default objects for your content slides or feedback layers and apply the same look and feel across multiple slides, I recommend reviewing our Using Slide Masters and Using Feedback Masters tutorials.

2.  Storyline does not have the capability of translating your text for you.  Please check out our Tutorials on Translating Storyline Content and Changing the Player's Text Labels for more information on Storyline's multilingual capabilities.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions.  Thanks!

thank you for your prompt reply Justin. i will check the recommended tutorials.

regarding the translation, i am talking about the possibility to choose a language when you create a quizz. in this case most of the label texts are translated but i have experienced in the case of true/false quizz, true and false are not translated. i just want to have confirmation of this issue. regards. Malika

Good Morning, Malika.

It sounds like you are saying that you have used this tutorial to changed the Player Text Labels to French, and you were expecting the words "True" and "False" within quizzes to be translated as well.  Please let me know if I have misunderstood or misstated your question.

The "Player Text labels" mean just that--these are for the controls associated with the Player itself.  Content such as question choices is handled separately, and content is never automatically translated, with the exception of the Translating Storyline Content feature.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions.  Thanks!
