I created a recording which I have used in the testing mode. I have got few scenes where I need the recording to be fast forwarded for the user to see the process in the fast paste. When I preview the entire project, the fast forwarded scenes display the start and the end of the fast forwarded scene as I set it up in the auto-tuning option; however the middle of the recording (the text in the recording) does not display at all.

When you are inserting your screen recording in any of the step-by-step modes, each slide is actually a static capture of the action recorded at that point in the recording. So you won't see a video "playback" of that step in your recording using the test-mode slides.
What you could do instead would be to take your full screen recording and export it. Use video editing software to cut out the parts you'd like to show in fast forward, and then bring those new clips back into your test-mode as regular slides. It's ok to put regular content slides in between your test-mode slides.
